Working on a List, need your help

I am going to be doubling the size of my totem list to include a lot more items tonight. I need your help stocking the list. A totem is a small artifact that you place in a font pool to capture the magical essence that forms in the pool. You want to do this so that you can carry it around with you and use it as a boost to cast magic.

So it is kind of like a magic battery, if you will.

Now depending on the substance you put in the pool, you get certain effects when the totem is used for magic. If you use an iron totem to cast a magic spell on fae, it is extremely effective because fae hate iron. If you use cedar wood for the totem, it makes the caster bouyant for a few hours afterwards. The natural properties of the item get melded into the magic.

So far, I have primarily metals, rocks, gems, and hardwoods in my list. I need to expand it, but the materials have to endure submersion in water for several months to be viable. For example, honeycomb would just dissolve in the pool, so it can't be a good totem.

So hit me up with your creative bad-assity. Impress me. And tonight I will revise my list with your inputs.

Party on, Wayne...
